“I Pay It Forward” Awards 
Women Who Barter was founded on the principle of paying it forward. What does pay-it-forward really mean? In my opinion, it’s an act of kindness. It’s helping someone in the time of need and never expecting anything in return. People pay it forward probably more often than they realize in their personal lives.
In founding this organization, I was hoping to find women who had the sincere desire to pay-it-forward to help other women in business. We often hear about people paying it forward or random acts of kindness through the media. People helping strangers. What would happen if I could take the pay-it-forward concept and put it into action within the business networking community? Would it work?
To be honest, it has been a very slow process but there are people who have taken this very basic concept to heart and have excercised it many times over to help their fellow Women Who Barter members as well as giving back to this organization.
